Another attractive bottle from Nøgne Ø. I don't really like to talk about packaging much here - this is s beer blog, not a marketing blog - but this new label style looks sharp. Smells big: herbal hops, dried fruit, malt, some alcohol. Sweet malt with a smoke character, a little fruitiness. I can tell the hops are there, but not too much - the finish is still quite sweet. This is kind of wacky. The smoky character is pretty unexpected, but much easier to enjoy than smoke in beer often is. I believe that I quite enjoy this. It's absolutely worth trying, and I'd gladly have another.
